The Gambia long serving president Yahya Jammeh after losing election to property developed Adama Barrow, has sworn that he will react to any attempts by regional leaders to force him out of power.
He made the following statement when he was addressing members of African Bar Association-"Let them enforce it today and see. What are they waiting for?I am a man of peace but does not mean that I will not defend my country...courageously,patriotically and win".
He rejected calls of West Africa leaders including Nigeria and Liberia, adding "who are they to tell me to leave my country".
However,ECOWAS has recognized Mr Barrow as president and will undertake all the necessary actions to enforce the result of the election.
