      The Gambia long serving president Yahya Jammeh after losing election to property developed Adama Barrow,has sworn that he will react to any attempts by regional leaders to force him out of power.
He made the following statement when he was addressing members of African Bar Association-"Let them enforce it today and see.What are they waiting for?I am a man of peace but does not mean that I will not defend my country...courageously,patriotically and win".
He rejected calls of West Africa leaders including Nigeria and Liberia,adding "who are they to tell me to leave my country".
      However,ECOWAS has recognized Mr Barrow as president and will undertake all the necessary actions to enforce the result of the election.

The Igboland

Ever heard of the Igbo land? It is the south-eastern part of Nigeria.The indigenous home of the Igbo people.It is culturally divided into several sub-groups:Anioma,Ngwa,Edda,Egbebu,Ezaa,Ibeku,Ohuhu,Omuna and Ekpeye.The Igbo  land is also composed of Abia State,Anambra State,Ebonyi State,Enugu State, Imo State and minor parts of Delta,Rivers and Benue States. The Igbo Settlement dates back to 4500BC with the Northern Igbo Kingdom of Nri being a prove of Igboland's culture,customs and religious practices. The Igboland is part of southern Nigeria protectorate and was amalgamated with the Northern Nigeria protectorate in 1914 by Lord Lugard.
