      Roshani Tiruwa,a 15 year old girl who was banished to a poorly ventilated shed because she was menstruating dies.The girl suffocated after lighting a fire to keep her warm in a hut.
      "Chhaupadi", an ancient Hindu  practice -women who are menstruating or have just given birth are seen as impure.This practice was banned by the Napalese Government in 2005,but still continues in the remote western areas.Her body was found by her father last weekend in a stone and mud hut in village of Gajara,in Achham district west of Kathmandu.
Some of theses communities believe that they suffer a misfortune such as natural disaster unless menstruating women are secluded.These women are restricted from taking some certain foods and are placed in a hut which some may share with cattles.

      The youngest African comedian,6 year old Emmanuella just topped off with a coveted CNN entertainment feature.       She began filming at the age of 5 and became famous after one of the several Mark Angel's comedy skits she featured in-This is not my real face(having about 1 million views on YouTube ). Emmanuella is currently the youngest YouTube award winner and earlier this year won 2 awards at Afro Australia Music and Movie award Sydney.       She was officially crowned the princess of comedy by Australian government.

The Igboland

Ever heard of the Igbo land? It is the south-eastern part of Nigeria.The indigenous home of the Igbo people.It is culturally divided into several sub-groups:Anioma,Ngwa,Edda,Egbebu,Ezaa,Ibeku,Ohuhu,Omuna and Ekpeye.The Igbo  land is also composed of Abia State,Anambra State,Ebonyi State,Enugu State, Imo State and minor parts of Delta,Rivers and Benue States. The Igbo Settlement dates back to 4500BC with the Northern Igbo Kingdom of Nri being a prove of Igboland's culture,customs and religious practices. The Igboland is part of southern Nigeria protectorate and was amalgamated with the Northern Nigeria protectorate in 1914 by Lord Lugard.
